The Greek word "Poiesis" means "to create". In celebration of Alessi's 100th anniversary in 2021, this is the 9th value that Alessi wishes to highlight. In the run-up to designing the Neapolitan coffee maker from 1970, Riccardo Dalisi (1931) sent hundreds of prototypes to Alessi, each moving further away from functionality and placing greater emphasis on the artistic element. Alberto Alessi argues that a good designer must also be a poet, to help us rise somewhat above the material world. The series is crafted in red and yellow copper and also pays tribute to the Rue Catalana in Naples, which in 1343 was proclaimed the Street of the Tinsmiths by Joanna I of Naples. In my humble opinion, only Alessi dares to release a product like this, intended for those who see no distinction between imagination, beauty and design. Video below:
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0617/4543/0695/files/1641426100AlessiNaploiRD1002back1x1.jpg?v=1773446735
