Anna Castelli Ferrieri

Anna Castelli FerrieriAnna Castelli Ferrieri (1918–2006) was one of the first female architects in Italy and co-founder of Kartell, together with her man Giulio Castelli. She was a pioneer in the use of plastic in design furniture and was known for her functional, modern designs with a strong architectural character. In 1969, she designed the iconic Componibili, a modular storage system still loved today for its simplicity, flexibility and timeless design. Castelli Ferrieri played a key role in the rise of Italian design in the twentieth century.
