Daniel Libeskind
Daniel Libeskind (1946) is a Polish-Jewish architect, naturalised as an American citizen in 1965. He is the son of Holocaust survivors.
His designs include the Jüdisches Museum Berlin. His design for 1 World Trade Center was selected as the replacement for the World Trade Center in New York.
In the Netherlands, Libeskind designed the Stadsmarkeringsplan Groningen in 1990. His own contribution (one of ten) was Open boek on the A7 in Groningen.
One of Libeskind's Land Art projects is 'Polderland Garden of Love and Fire' (1992-1997) in Almere.
