Frédéric Gooris

Frédéric Gooris, industrial designer, was born in Leuven in 1974 and graduated from the Hogeschool Antwerpen in 1998. In 1999 he moved to Milan, where he earned his Master in Design at the Domus Academy.

Over the following 5 years, he gained experience in the studios of Philippe Starck and Stefano Giovannoni, working on projects for internationally renowned clients such as Target, Alessi, Laufen, Oras, Inda, Magis, Deborah, Lavazza, Hannspree, Nissan, Helit, Siemens, Modo, Ycami and Felice Rossi.

In 2004 he founded Studio Gooris in Milan, where he focuses on product and concept design for companies across the world, including Alessi, Ferrero, Target, Levis, JC Penny, Foreverlamp, Oras and EQ3.

In 2009 he co-founded Bombol, a company specialising in innovative and design-oriented baby products.

In 2010 he moved to the Far East – Hong Kong – to open a second desk there, where he remains active to this day.
