"Telling the story of the birth, designing a nativity scene, and relating to spirituality is never a simple matter. So I tried to think of the crib simply, initially stripping it of all superstructure, and considering it as a set of sculptural objects, as volumes in space. It was precisely this idea of sculpture, understood as an assembly of solid volumes in relation to light, that guided my composition, generating strong, angular, "˜brutalist' figurines, if you like, but at the same time surrounded by a noble, important, almost regal aura, which unconsciously adhered perfectly to the sacred subject depicted. Hence the name Holyedrics, the amusing union between Holy and Polyhedron, a volume with many faces.
The idea of royalty is accentuated thanks to the use of gold decorations, typical of sacred art, but the real peculiarity is the presence the pixelated inserts, a digitally inspired multicoloured decoration also used for mugs, bowls and plates that gives the objects their true contemporary image, giving them a global-multicultural character, intended as a sign of union, coexistence, multiplicity and peace." â—† Elena Salmistraro

Elena Salmistraro founded her own studio in 2009 together with Angelo Stoli, where she has embarked on numerous collaborations with companies across the creative industries, including Apple, Disney, Nike, Alessi, Lavazza, Bosa, Capellini, De Castelli, Cc-Tapis, Timberland, Replay, LuisaViaRoma, Yoox and LondonArt. Her designs bring art and design together. An eye for detail, historical references, harmonious compositions, expressive use of colour and a poetic style all characterise her projects. In 2017 she was named best new designer in Milan, and in 2022 she was voted Designer of the Year. Her Venusia jewellery series received the Best Design Award in Italy in 2022.

Items in stock are usually dispatched within 1–2 working days. You'll receive a track & trace as soon as your parcel is on its way. Should an item just happen to be out of stock, we'll let you know when the new delivery arrives. We receive fresh shipments from Italy every week, so the wait is normally max 8 days. We always keep a close eye on availability and expected delivery times.
We offer free delivery within the Netherlands on orders over €65. Below this amount, a fixed contribution applies, which you'll see at checkout. For orders shipped abroad, separate rates apply; these are calculated at checkout once you enter your address. If an item differs from standard dimensions or weight, the delivery charge may be higher. We never apply this without checking first: we'll always contact you beforehand and only ship once you've given your approval.
Of course. Please do so as soon as possible. Feel free to call or email us. The item must of course be returned unused and in its original packaging. We do not offer approval shipments with free returns. We trust you'll understand.
Yes. We supply only genuine Alessi products, sourced directly through official channels. We have been a dedicated Alessi dealer since 1990. Every item arrives in its original Alessi packaging and carries the Alessi brand engraving.
Yes, we'd be happy to. Just let us know when placing your order and we'll gift wrap the item for you. .. Please note: if items may be wrapped together, such as baubles, do let us know as well. During busy periods this makes a considerable difference to processing times.
