Designer

Aldo Rossi

Aldo Rossi (1931–1997), born in Milan, is widely regarded as the most important Italian architect of the second half of the 20th century. He began his career with Gardella and Zanuso. Rossi was known for his restrained, clear formal language: an architecture of abstraction, reduction and precision. Through his use of primary forms, geometric structures and quiet references, he succeeded in elevating architecture and design into poetic art forms.
