Sakura Adachi
Born in Aichi, Japan. In 2001, Sakura Adachi graduated from Musashino Art University in Industrial and Craft Design, specialising in woodwork. She then moved to London to complete her MA in Industrial Design at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, graduating in 2004. During the course, she was awarded second prize in the CAIAZZA MEMORIAL CHALLENGE Promosedia International Competition in 2003. Since 2004, she has been living and working in Milan and has collaborated with several design studios there, such as Atelier Bellini and Studio & Partners. In 2005, she took part in the Copenhagen International Furniture Fair, exhibiting her graduation work – the bookcase CAVE – together with two chairs. The fair was a great success and HRH The Crown Prince of Denmark visited her stand, which resulted in a number of publications on her work, including an interview in the New York Times in 2007. During the Milan Furniture Fair 2009, the bookcase PET CAVE was released by the Italian manufacturer Campeggi, along with several other products presented at SaloneSatellite. She also collaborated with the internationally renowned fashion brand ANTEPRIMA on a project titled 'SAKURA ADACHI x ANTEPRIMA', exhibiting her work at the flagship store in Milan. At the Milan Furniture Fair 2010, she launched the bookcase TRICK with Campeggi and the new furniture range MOMIJI with the Italian manufacturer Tura, which specialises in parchment furniture. She has recently been awarded the Red Dot Award for her ECLIPSE fruit bowls.

Items in stock are usually dispatched within 1–2 working days. You'll receive a track & trace as soon as your parcel is on its way. Should an item just happen to be out of stock, we'll let you know when the new delivery arrives. We receive fresh shipments from Italy every week, so the wait is normally max 8 days. We always keep a close eye on availability and expected delivery times.
We offer free delivery within the Netherlands on orders over €65. Below this amount, a fixed contribution applies, which you'll see at checkout. For orders shipped abroad, separate rates apply; these are calculated at checkout once you enter your address. If an item differs from standard dimensions or weight, the delivery charge may be higher. We never apply this without checking first: we'll always contact you beforehand and only ship once you've given your approval.
Of course. Please do so as soon as possible. Feel free to call or email us. The item must of course be returned unused and in its original packaging. We do not offer approval shipments with free returns. We trust you'll understand.
Yes. We supply only genuine Alessi products, sourced directly through official channels. We have been a dedicated Alessi dealer since 1990. Every item arrives in its original Alessi packaging and carries the Alessi brand engraving.
Yes, we'd be happy to. Just let us know when placing your order and we'll gift wrap the item for you. .. Please note: if items may be wrapped together, such as baubles, do let us know as well. During busy periods this makes a considerable difference to processing times.
