He began his activities with studies on visual perception and then turned his attention to games for children, graphic design, design and architecture: various directions share a common idea, namely the reflection on the meaning of shape and project.
He was an advisor for Arredo Urbano of the city council of Milan and chairman of the Association for Industrial Design (1976-1979).
He was awarded the Compasso d'Oro in 1967, 1979, 1987 and in 2001 for his table "Tavolo legato". In 2001 he published the book "Progetto e passione" (Project and Passion), which analyses design from a broader cultural perspective.
He collaborates with design companies such as Artemide, Castelli, Danese, Driade, GABBIANELLI, Interflex, Lema, Magis, Zanotta.
